Statistics of the Croatian Federation of Sport Fishing on Sea show that Dario Marinov is an underwater hunter with the most constant rate of success.

He uses all of the spearfishing techniques with the same efficiency, and hunts all of the fish species with the same success, no matter if benthos or pelagic. He is a universal hunter easily adaptable to all conditions in all seas. His hunting depths reach 33m, variable weight (brasiliana) up to 40m. He is particularly skillful and efficient in applying the sneaking  (l'agguato) technique, which he also singles out as his favourite. It is, then, hardly surprising that other coaches and representatives classify him as one of the best agguato hunters in the world. One of the most distinguishing features of this technique is hunting in stormy weather and murky, stormy waters  which is Dario's prominent fishing style.
